As we come to an end of a very busy pre season friendly fixture list our brightest showing to date came with a 3 .  1. win over London Lions. Many newcomers have been introduced to the red shirt and only manager Dave Craig knows just what eleven will start against Brache for the season proper. The Lions game saw us in control for the opening 30 mins and we were rewarded with a vintage piece of Jon Moniatis to get things rolling for us. Jon latched on to a peach of a through ball from Steve Scripps and  in one flowing movement he  controlled the ball before lashing a left foot drive into the net. Against the run of play the Lions levelled with a scruffy equaliser close on half time. The second half had a few scares for us and Marcin done brilliantly to keep out a fierce near post header from the host skipper. We however took the lead with a Gavin Conway shot that blasted into the roof of the net and shortly afterwards Kevin Reade cooly headed home following a six yard box scramble. Of our fresh face brigade Nicholas Dines impressed with a busy second half display that saw him cover every blade of grass on the pitch. Our friendly games come to a conclusion this Tuesday with an away game at Codicote.

The final friendly comes against London Lions at Arkley this weekend before the league kick off against Brache Sparta on August 19th.

COCKFOSTERS STILL SEEK PRE-SEASON WIN.

Cockfosters latest game in a busy pre-season fixture list took them to South Midlands Premier side Leverstock Green where they were beaten 2-0. Leverstock shaded the first half and grabbed the lead on the stroke of half-time. With both sides making multiple changes for the second period it was Leverstock who maintained their shape the better and doubled their lead midway through the half. Jason Grostate had a fine game at the heart of the defence for Cockfosters as did new keeper Chay Morris. Next up for Cockfosters is a trip to the Met Police(Bushey) on Tuesday.

NO GOALS IN OPENER AT BEDMOND.

In David Craigs first game in charge, Cockfosters and Bedmond battled to a goalless draw in a game that saw both defences on top in this pre-season friendly. Cockfosters dominated for much of the game without really threatening the Bedmond goal but manager Craig will be satisfied with this the first of six friendlies.. Next outing comes on Tuesday when Cockfostrers travel to Sawbridgeworth Town.
